(08034955753).The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) has commenced on electronic (online) auction of contraband goods, including exotic cars of different brands, seized from smugglers in various commands as daily reports.
The present comptroller general of (N.C.S). colonel Hameed Ibrahim Ali stated this to commence the E-auction in ogun state while conducting journalists round the latest seizures of men of the unit.
According to him, the auction will be done through the internet, He also said interested members of the public can log into the NCS E-Auction portal to register any of the item of his/her choice,and also said individuals can contact the head of trade and tariff on 08034955753 to bid for any of the goods..
Note:clearance and proper documentation of vehicle will be done under the Nigeria customs service before inspection/delivery.
The comptroller said that among items to be auctioned electronically were Rolls Royce cars, Mercedes, Toyota, volkswagen and other vehicles of different makes as well as other intercepted goods.
He said that the recourse to online sales of seized goods was to make the process as transparent as possible.
